Schedules and Lists
Overview
In the BIM (Building Information Modeling) platform, schedules and lists refer to a part of the documentation process that provides detailed information about specific components of the model. TRUEdoc™, as a part of BIMhub™, provides customized services for the preparation of schedules and lists as per client requirements.
How it Works
Traditionally, the task of preparing estimates for each component of the building construction process was done manually by architects. With the integrated BIM-supported 3D technology, it has become possible to perform these tasks in an automated manner through software. To create a schedule or list, one has to define settings in the software. Based on these settings, a list is automatically generated with default parameters.
The BIM interface provides a range of schedule and list templates. You can use either the default templates or build a customized version to suit your requirements. A default schedule template allows you to access the following information:
- Product ID
- Quantity
- Library link to the product
- Assigned room name
- Room number
- Cost
- Area
- Volume
Each schedule or list can be edited for settings, format and information. After inserting information for a particular component, it is linked to the corresponding library entry for sharing through the BIM server.

For a large scale BIM project, schedules and lists help in organizing the data through digital inventory management capability. With BIMhub™, you will be able to create interactive schedules that provide information about model elements in a tabular format. For example, a door interactive schedule will list out the number of doors on every floor, their exact location, size, manufacturer and frame material. Powered by automated capabilities, every change in a schedule gets reflected automatically in all other related entries in the library.
